Campaigns and Activities

2.1.        Target Groups and Beneficiaries

The project will target underprivileged youth in urban slum areas in four African countries; Mali, Burkina Faso, Kenya, and Mozambique. The primary target group is CBOs and youth groups operating in these areas and the young people involved in the organizations. The secondary target group is SE’s current NGO partners(Umande Trust in Kenya) which will gain experiences with new approaches, new social platforms for innovation and actions spearheaded by the youth organizations. The final beneficiaries are the youth targeted in the campaigns.
The different regions are selected due to the fact that SE has a long-term presence and extensive network in these regions. Moreover, by building on existing partnerships SE and Umande Trust is better suited to secure the quality and sustainability of the project by providing support and follow-up after the project is completed.
